Health Workforce Training Program Evaluation Toolkit

Evaluation provides valuable information about the quality and effectiveness of a training program and offers insight into how current training activities fit within the mission, vision, and core values of a program. The Health Workforce Training Program Evaluation Toolkit is a comprehensive “program evaluation 101” resource for both new and established programs seeking to learn new evaluation strategies.

This Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)-funded guide was developed with the help of health workforce training key informants who shared their experiences with evaluating their programs’ strengths and challenges.

Helpful strategies and recommendations featured in this “how-to” Toolkit include:

  • logic model development
  • approaches for crafting evaluation questions
  • stakeholder engagement
